The College of Central Florida Ira Holmes International Film Series will conclude the 2022-2023 season with “La Ciénaga” on Tuesday, March 21.

The 2001 Argentinian comedy-drama features exquisite cinematography. Through the story of a bourgeois extended family summering at their decrepit country estate, Lucrecia Martel’s debut film established her original voice with a visceral take on class, nature, sexuality and the ways that political turmoil and social stagnation can manifest in human relationships.

Screenings will begin at 2 p.m. at the Appleton Museum of Art, 4333 E. Silver Springs Blvd., and at 7 p.m. at the CF Ocala Campus, 3001 S.W. College Road, Building 8, Room 110. Films at the Ocala Campus are free and open to the public. Films at the Appleton are free to all museum and film series members; nonmembers pay museum admission. Films may contain mature content.
