Daytona State College issued the following announcement on Sept. 2.

The Falcon Men’s Cross Country team received a #3 ranking in this week’s USTCCCA coaches poll. The Falcons finished 6th at the University of Florida Invitational on September 

11th, and were the top junior college team in the field.  The Falcons were close behind NCAA D2 teams St Leo and Embry Riddle, and NCAA D1 Stetson University.  Led by 

Sophomore Andy Martinez and the freshmen trio of Sebastian Hernandez, Christian Ruocco, and Mitchell Curtis, the squad is ready to take on a competitive field at Embry Riddle 

Aeronautical University this weekend on Saturday, September 25th.  The men’s race will begin at 7:20am, followed by the women’s race at 7:50am.
