Daytona State College issued the following announcement on Nov. 12.

The Daytona State men’s and women’s cross country teams take on the best of NJCAA Division II tomorrow at Pole Green Park, in Richmond, VA.   The men’s 8000 meter race is

set for 11:15am and the women’s race follows at 12:45pm.  The Falcon men are currently ranked #2 in the country and are ready to run their best of the season.  Coach Judy

Wilson likes that the team is excited for this opportunity to showcase their talent. The seven runners vying for a national title are: Andy Martinez (4th at 2020 National

championship); the Freshman trio of Sebastion Hernandaz, Christain Ruocco, and Mitchell Curtis; and the Tohopekaliga High School Triplets of Adolfo Castro, Jedary Ayala, and

Richard Lebron.

The women’s team are seeking to better their current national ranking of 11th. Powered by Harleigh Crist (18th at 2020 National championship) and Juliet St Angelo, both seeking

top 15 finishes, the Falcon women are in good position to better their 2020 championship finish of 8th. Other key members of the team are Ayanna Fulton, Makayla Shores, Angel

Khrino, Kennedy Arterburn, and Audrey Moros.
