Bethune-Cookman University recently issued the following announcement.

After a monstrous performance to open SWAC play, Kevin Davis has been named the SWAC Impact Player of the Week, the conference announced Wednesday.

Davis, a senior from Portsmouth, Va., saw season-highs across the board as the Wildcats downed Florida A&M at Moore Gymnasium Monday night. The 6-5 forward finished with a 26-point double-double in the win with 13 rebounds – seven on the offensive end.

Davis also blocked a pair of shots and grabbed three steals in the game. He made 11 of 17 shots including a three pointer as the Wildcats opened SWAC play 1-0.

Davis becomes the third Wildcat to take home SWAC weekly honors this season. Dylan Robertson was named Impact Player of the Week on Nov. 24, and Joe French was named Player of the Week on Dec. 2.

Next up for the Wildcats, B-CU heads back to Daytona Beach to take on Grambling State, Saturday, Jan. 8 at 4 p.m.
