Eastern Florida State College Athletics recently issued the following announcement.

The Eastern Florida State College men’s soccer team will be back on the road this weekend for a pair of games.

The Titans will head to Georgia to play a couple of games against undefeated teams as they play Spartanburg Methodist Saturday at 2 p.m. and then host Georgia Military on Sunday at 2 p.m.

Spartanburg Methodist opened the season with a commanding win against USC Union, scoring seven goals led by Youkendji Pacius’ hat trick.

Georgia Military comes into the matchup 1-0 as well, defeating Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College 4-0 and are No. 18 in the NJCAA Division II preseason poll.

“We are playing two quality sides back to back this weekend and with all our injuries we need the next man to step up,” Eastern Florida State College men’s soccer coach Jeff Carr said. “Both teams are coached by great coaches, we will have our hands full.”

The Titans come into the weekend 1-1 on the season after defeating No. 9 Snow College in the season opener and then falling to No. 1 Salt Lake City Community College 1-0 in Utah.

Eastern Florida State College will be at Orlando Health Stadium on Sept. 18 against Patrick Henry Community College at 7 p.m.
