The Eastern Florida State College P.J. Wilson and Henry Scott Minority Youth Golf Camp will be held Monday, June 6 through Thursday, June 16 with a pre-registration deadline of May 25.

The camp will take place each day from 9 – 11 a.m. at the EFSC Fred Gay Golf Academy, located at 3570 S.R. 524 in Cocoa.

The program is open to all youth, ages 10 to 17. Admission is free, but pre-registration is required.

The camp was created in 1992 under the guidance of former EFSC President, Dr. Maxwell King with the assistance of Henry Scott and P.J. Wilson, two Brevard County African American golf professionals and community leaders.

It was designed to provide youth with the basic skills of golf, including golf etiquette, conduct and sportsmanship, as well as values for successful living.

Though its focus is outreach to minority youth, the camp is open to all young people.

The registration deadline is Wednesday, May 25. The registration packet can be found at easternflorida.edu/documents/golf.pdf

Orientation will take place on Wednesday, June 1 from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. at the EFSC Cocoa Campus in the Clark Maxwell, Jr. Lifelong Learning Center (Bldg. 3, Rm. 103), located at 1519 Clearlake Road, Cocoa.
