Zz

City of Perry issued the following announcement on July 31.

The Taylor County School District has announced a two-week “grace period” for students who may want to change their minds when choosing whether to return to “brick and mortar” classes or enroll in the district’s new “e-learning” virtual school.

School officials say approximately 60 percent of parents have responded to the survey thus far, and 70 percent of those who have responded plan to send their children back for “face-to-face” learning (School is slated to begin on Monday, Aug. 24, pending approval by the Taylor County School Board.)
