Eastern Florida State College issued the following announcement on Aug. 31.
Six employees have been honored for their exemplary performance at Eastern Florida State College during the past academic year.
The employees received the STARS Award, which stands for Superlative, Teamwork, Attitude, Responsibility and Service.
College President Dr. Jim Richey praised the employees, saying that during a year marked by the COVID-19 pandemic, their efforts reflected the dedication of EFSC's entire staff.

Eric Newlin, Programmer & Systems Analyst
Lisa Creatura, Administrative Support Assistant
Karen England, Administrative Support Assistant
Sonal Patel, IT Technical Support Specialist
Mike Youngblood, HVAC Specialist
