St. Thomas University issued the following announcement on Sept. 30.
The 23rd ranked St. Thomas University (STU) Women's Soccer team (5-1-2, 0-0-1 SUN) forced a draw in the first matchup in Sun Conference play against the receiving votes Savannah College Art of Design (SCAD-Savannah) Bee's (5-3-1, 0-0-1 SUN) on Thursday evening from the Bobcat Turf Field. A late goal forced double-overtime that led to the 2-2 draw between the teams.

SCAD-Savannah came into the first half with high intensity leaving St. Thomas to raise the pressure on defense to keep them scoreless.
Jocelyn Mendez had three powerful shots in the first half in attempt to put the Bobcats on the scoreboard.
Melanie Lefebvre had a big time save in the 64th-minute which seemed to give STU a spark in the second half.
St. Thomas committed a foul in the box leading to a SCAD-Savannah penalty kick.
The Bees hit the crossbar on the shot but followed through to put it away for the first goal on the match.
Feraddaz scored to tie the match 1-1 as DeLeon set it up perfectly, placing it inside the 18-yard box where Miranda just had to get the one touch pass the keeper in the 67th minute.
Miranda Feraddaz continues to be the Bobcats leading scorer with a total of five goals.
SCAD-Savannah made their second goal with a one touch shot to put themselves in the lead (2-1), in the 70th minute.
Lefebvre saved 13-shots by SCAD-Savannah tonight, this is the most the Bobcat keeper has been tested this season.
Kayla Jackson had a beautiful shot off a volley from the right corner chipping it perfectly over the head of the Bees keeper to tie the game (2-2) in the 89th-minute and forcing the match to head into over-time.
The Bobcats and the Bees kept the intensity high with both teams playing strong defense and offense, but in the end neither team could mustard the strength to make that deciding goal to take the win.
The match called a draw after the second double overtime period.
Both teams combined for 39 shots, 26 of which were on goal.
