Eastern Florida State College issued the following announcement on Oct. 28.

The Eastern Florida State College women's soccer team will play Daytona State College Saturday at 7 p.m. in the Region 8 Tournament final after the Falcons win on Thursday.

Daytona State College defeated Polk State College 2-1 in double overtime Thursday night at Orlando Health Stadium as Isabella Da Silva hit a shot from outside the box that hit the back of the net with three minutes and three seconds left in the second overtime.

After a scoreless first half, both teams had good chances early in the second half. With 39 minutes remaining, Elena Diaz Trujillo put the Falcons on the board. But less than five minutes later, Polk State College tied the match as Raisa Lugo took a short corner kick, beat a defender and hit a shot that found the back of the net.
