Eastern Florida State College issued the following announcement on Nov. 20.

The Eastern Florida State College men's basketball team fell short in a battle of top 20 teams in the nation Saturday at the Florida Southwestern Turkey Day Classic.

The fourth-ranked Titans found themselves down three as the clock was winding down in overtime. Sophomore Brody Boyer once again took the ball and hit the shot that looked like it would tie the game. However, referees called it a two-pointer and No. 20 Snow College won, 80-79.

Boyer came close to adding a game-saving basket to his resume this season but finished with 11 points. Teammate Derrick Butler scored 15 points and grabbed nine rebounds while Roberts Berze had 14 and Reggie Hill recorded his first double-double of the season, scoring 13points and grabbing 13 rebounds in the game.

Chase Potter had a game-high 27 points for Snow College.

Eastern Florida State College fell to 5-1 overall while Snow College improved to 5-1. The Titans will travel to Bradenton for three days of games, beginning Thanksgiving Day. Eastern Florida State College will play Albany Technical College on Thursday, South Georgia Tech on Friday and Georgia Highlands on Saturday.

The Titans will be back at Titan Field House December 1 against ASA College at 7 p.m.
