LeMaire, NSU Softball Finalize 2022 Schedule

Nova Southeastern University issued the following announcement on Dec. 17.

Sharks set to make 2022 debut at DII Gulf Shores Invitational on Feb. 4

Approaching the holiday break, head coach Julie LeMaire and the Nova Southeastern softball team have officially finalized and announced their 2022 schedule, set for first pitch on Fri., Feb. 4 at the DII Gulf Shores Invitational.

The Sharks are ready to hit the ground running come February following an abbreviated slate in 2021. In all, LeMaire and company will compete in 54 games this spring, facing a road-heavy schedule in which just 21 of the contests will be hosted on campus at the AD Griffin Sports Complex.  

Additionally, NSU will participate in three tournaments – the aforementioned DII Gulf Shores Invitational, Flagler's Old Coast Classic, and THE Spring Games.

 

Making their season debut against Lee, the Sharks will play 10 straight away from home to get the 2022 campaign rolling before making their first appearance at the AD Griffin Sports Complex on Feb. 20 versus Florida National.

NSU will begin Sunshine State Conference action on Feb. 25 at Embry-Riddle, setting up another extended road stint that'll eventually wrap up on Mar. 12 against Caldwell in the final game of THE Spring Games in Winer Haven, Fla.

A pair of non-conference, home doubleheaders versus both Columbus State and Kutztown on Mar. 15-16 will transition into a home SSC series with Florida Tech from Mar. 18-19. The three-game set with the Panthers kicks off the first of eight consecutive SSC series' to round out the regular season.

NSU will match up with Saint Leo (Apr. 1-2), Palm Beach Atlantic (Apr. 14-15) and Barry (Apr. 22-23) at home, followed by an anticipated battle at defending SSC champion Rollins on Apr. 29-30.

The Sharks will conclude the regular season at home against Florida Southern on May 5-6.
