12 Daytona State College Falcon's women's soccer players moving on to continue their academic and athletic careers at the next level.
Elena Diaz Trujillo will continue her collegiate career at Georgia State University, a NCAA DI institution in Atlanta, GA. Diaz appeared in all 10 games for the Falcons this season and led the team with 12 goals and 5 assists. The freshman recorded a pair of hattricks, scoring three goals in a 13-0 win over Andrew College and doing so again in a 11-0 win over Pasco-Hernando State College. Diaz was named NJCAA DI Women's Soccer Honorable Mention All-American in both the 2020-21 and 2021-2022 seasons. Diaz was also named to the Region 8 First Team in both seasons and named Freshman of the Year in 2020-2021. Diaz picked up the United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-America Award in the 2021-2022 season for her outstanding work in the classroom. Diaz was named the Daytona State College Offensive Player of the Year, Scholar-Athlete of the Year and Student-Athlete of the Year for Women's Soccer this season.
Isabella DaSilva signed to play at Palm Beach Atlantic University, a NCAA DII institution in Palm Beach, FL. DaSilva played in all 10 games for the Falcons this fall, scoring two goals.
Hannah Henn has signed to continue her collegiate career at Berry College, a NCAA DIII institution in Mount Berry, GA. Henn played in seven games for the Falcons with 6 goals and 1 assist for 13 points and second on the team. The freshman recorded a hattrick, scoring three goals in a 13-0 win over Andrew College.
Tilde Sandberg has signed to play at the Montana State University Billings, an NCAA DII institution in Billings, Montana. Sandberg played in all 10 games this past fall, scoring one goal, and assisting on two as a defender. The defender was named Honorable Mention Region 8 in her 2020-2021 season.
Caoimhe McKeague will move on to play at William Jessup University, a NAIA institution located in Rocklin, CA. McKeague played in 5 games for the Falcons.
Joining DaSilva at Palm Beach Atlantic University is Marisa Lee. Lee was named to the Region 8 First Team in her Sophomore season.
Rayanna Taylor has transferred to Warner University, a NAIA institution in Lake Wales, FL. Taylor was named to the NJCAA All-Academic Third Team and FCSAA All-Academic Team in her Freshman season.
Caitlyn Lewis will move on to play at Trinity Baptist College, a NCCAA institution in Jacksonville, FL.
Additional players who will pursue their academic careers at four-year institutions include Ashton English who will remain at DSC and has entered the Physical Therapy Assistant program, Peyton Vazquez will transfer to the University of Kentucky, Elena Stevenson makes her move to Clemson University and Jessica Cuenca transfers to the University of Florida.
These Falcons helped earn the Region 8 Runner-Up title for the 2021-2022 season. Coach Hope Clark on her players "I could not be prouder of the young women in our program who are moving on both athletically and academically in their careers. They were a tremendous group of student-athletes that competed on the playing field and in the classroom this year. These young women served our institution and this community with their hands, hearts and mind and grew to be the very best versions of themselves, I could not ask for anything more. These young women will be truly missed and have made an impact on Daytona State College and our women's soccer program."
