Bethune-Cookman Women's Basketball Janell Crayton has officially announced the signing of Nia Jordan to a National Letter of Intent.
Jordan, a 6-1 forward, will join the Wildcats for the 2022-2023 season.
She comes to B-CU from the University of Buffalo, where she was a member of the 2021-2022 Mid-American Conference championship team that advanced to the NCAA tournament.
Prior to Buffalo, Jordan spent a season at Labette (Kansas) CC where she averaged 11.6 points and 7.8 rebounds overall and 15 points and 10 rebounds during conference play. She played her freshman season at the University of New Orleans.
A Philadelphia native, she played her high school ball at Friends Central High School, where she led her team to a Friends' Schools Championship as a freshman then was a two-time FSL first team selection and at Neuman & Goretti High School where she led the team to a City Championship as a senior while also earning Second Team All-Catholic honors.
"Nia comes from championship pedigree," Crayton said. "She is already a proven winner and her work ethic along with her versatility will be truly impactful for our team. NIa is a seasoned and mature player whose experience will be a real asset as we enter this next season."
Jordan's addition comes as Bethune-Cookman prepares for its second season in the Southwestern Athletic Conference.
