The defending national championship Eastern Florida State College women's soccer team has announced their 2022 regular season schedule.
The Titans will be tested early and often as the defending champions will play three teams that finished last season in the top 10 in the nation, including Salt Lake Community College who reached the national tournament semifinals.
The Titans and Bruins will face each other to kick off the new season at Orlando Health Stadium on the Melbourne campus. The game will be the first of a doubleheader on Aug. 20 with the women's team playing at 6 p.m. and the men playing at 8 p.m.
Then the women's team will travel to Wyoming to play a couple of really good teams in Iowa Western and Laramie County Community College. Iowa Western finished fourth in last season's poll with 16 wins while Laramie County CC was 15th in the season-ending poll and had 13 wins.
The Titans will return to Orlando Health Stadium for four straight home games, hosting Southwest Illinois Community College on Sept. 3 and then another top 10 team from last season, Monroe College who had nine wins and was seventh in the final NJCAA poll on Sept. 20. Then the women's team will turn their focus to the Region 8 Conference as the calendar turns to October, hosting Daytona State College in the conference opener on Oct. 1. They will host Polk State College on Oct. 5 before hitting the road for the final two games of the regular season.
The Region 8 Conference semifinals will be Oct. 28 with the final on Oct. 30.
