Daytona State College Homecoming scheduled for October 6-8

DSC alumni and community invited to three-day event on the Daytona Beach Campus

Daytona State College’s annual Homecoming festivities are scheduled for October 6-8 on the Daytona Beach Campus. All DSC alumni and family members are invited to attend a weekend of family fun, food and special activities.

Thursday, Oct 6

6 - 10 p.m. – Free Movie Night (Nunamann Landing – Bldg. 200)  Students, faculty, staff and their families are welcome to enjoy a movie (title to be announced) on the big screen at Nunamann Landing on the Daytona Beach Campus. This event promises to be a fun evening and will include free pizza, s’mores and more!

6 p.m. – Women’s Volleyball vs. Indian River State College (Lemerand Athletic Center Gymnasium)Come cheer our incredible women’s volleyball team and show your Falcon Spirit Wear!

Dental Hygiene Reunion - 26 years of Alumni Celebration

Friday, Oct 7

4 - 6 p.m. – Alumni and Friends Social (Soccer Stadium Entry Area)

5 - 7:30 p.m. – Friday Night Fiesta (Soccer Stadium Entry Area)

Students, faculty and staff are free with valid college ID. Join the DSC family for nachos, fajitas, tacos and more!

7 p.m. – Men’s Soccer vs. University of Fort Lauderdale (Soccer Stadium)

Come cheer our incredible men’s soccer team and show your Falcon Spirit Wear!

Saturday, Oct 8

7 a.m. – “Catch the Falcon 5K” Family Fun Run/Walk (Soccer Stadium)

Registration: $25 per person, $15 for students, free for children 12 and under. Registration opens at 7 a.m. and includes shirt and other awards, including a free pair of running shoes for the first male and first female over age 12 to catch Freddie Falcon. Race begins at 8 a.m. Participants can register at: bit.ly/CatchTheFalcon5KRunandWalk

10 a.m. - noon – Discovery Day (L. Gale Lemerand Student Center)

Learn about our bachelor's and associate's degrees, certificates and workforce programs. Admissions, Advising, and Financial Aid representatives will be available. New students who attend will be entered in a drawing for a $500 scholarship. 

We have Showcase tours for:

  • 10:30 a.m. – Cosmetology/Barbering
  • 11 a.m. – Welding
  • 11:30.a.m. – Digital and Interactive Media

11 a.m. – Women’s Soccer vs. Polk State College (Soccer Stadium)

Come cheer our incredible women’s soccer team and show your Falcon Spirit Wear!

11 a.m. – Family Friendly Tailgate Party (Soccer Stadium Parking Lot)

Come out and show your Falcon spirit with games including a corn hole tournament, rock wall, DJ and much more! Enjoy a free cookout buffet prepared by Metz Culinary Management. Food served from 11 a.m. until it runs out!

11 a.m. – VIP Tent for Alumni & Friends (Soccer Stadium/Tailgate Party)

For only $10 you can enjoy sample foods prepared by students from the Mori Hosseini College of Hospitality and Culinary Management, featuring beer samples from the Beverage Science Program. Restricted to adults 21 years of age and older. 

Noon & 1 p.m. – Softball & Baseball Alumni Games (Softball & Baseball Stadiums)

Softball, noon, Baseball, 1 p.m.

1 p.m. – Alumni Golf Outing (Crane Lakes Golf & Country Club)

3 p.m. –  Women’s Volleyball vs. Florida Southwestern State College (Lemerand Athletic Center Gymnasium)Come cheer our incredible women’s volleyball team and show your Falcon Spirit Wear!
