Women's basketball team moves up to No. 11 in NJCAA poll

The Eastern Florida State College women's basketball team moved up into 11th in the latest NJCAA Division I poll released on Monday.

The Titans are 6-0 heading into the home opener Monday night against Hillsborough Community College and have already beaten two ranked opponents this season, College of Southern Idaho who is No. 8 and Florida Southwestern who is No. 19.

The top three stayed the same as Trinity Valley is No. 1, Northwest Florida State is No. 2 and Blinn is third. Chipola is No. 4 with Gulf Coast State No. 6.

The ranking is the highest in Eastern Florida State College women's basketball program history. The team made it to the Elite Eight of the NJCAA Division I National Championship Tournament last season and return six players from that team.

They will back at Titan Field House December 7 against Miami Dade at 5:30 p.m.
