Women's Basketball Team Hits Road for Games This Weekend

The fourth-ranked Eastern Florida State College women's basketball team will head to Niceville for a couple of games this weekend.

The Titans, who are 11-0 on the season, will play Georgia Highlands Friday at 3 p.m. and then face Monroe College Saturday at 1 p.m.

Georgia Highlands comes into the contest 4-7 this season and is led by Jasmine Stevens who is averaging 13 points and seven rebounds per game for the Chargers.

On Saturday the Titans will play Monroe College who is 7-5 and are in the top 20 in the nation in 3-pointers made and in the top 5 in rebounding in the nation.

The Titans and the Mustangs both average 51 rebounds per game and Monroe has hit two more 3-pointers than the Titans this season as Monroe has hit 93 and the Titans have made 91. Eastern Florida State College is hitting 42 percent of their 3-pointers while Monroe College hits 39.5 percent.

Monroe College have seven players averaging at least seven points per game, led by Olivia Medford who is averaging 12 points per game.

 Eastern Florida State College has six players averaging nine points per game led by Shadaria Smith who is averaging 13.5 points.
