Men's basketball team back on court, hosting Josh Artis Classic | Eastern Florida State College Athletics
The Eastern Florida State College men's basketball team is hosting the Josh Artis Classic on Thursday and Friday at Titan Field House on the Melbourne campus.
The Titans are 9-4 on the season and are hosting the Josh Artis Classic for the fifth time.
Pensacola State College, Southern Union State Community College and Coastal Alabama-Monroeville will also be playing in the tournament.
Pensacola State College enters the tournament 9-6 overall and have five players averaging 10 points or more per game, led by Zondrick Garrett who is averaging 12.7 points per game.
The Pirates will open the tournament Thursday evening at 5 p.m. against Southern Union State Community College. Southern Union State is 3-4 this season but have won their past two games. The Bison are led by Marcus Hill who is averaging 24.7 points per game this season.
Coastal Alabama-Monroeville is 6-3 and come into the tournament on a five-game win streak. The Eagles are led by Seth Jones who is averaging 17.3 points per game.
Coastal Alabama-Monroeville will play the Titans at 7 p.m. on Thursday.
On Friday, Coastal Alabama-Monroeville will open the day against Pensacola State College at 2 p.m. with Southern Union playing the Titans at 4 p.m.
The tournament will be broadcast live online at the EFSC Titans YouTube page and admission is free at Titan Field House.
