Chanel Wilson scored a season-high 25 points as Bethune-Cookman opened Southwestern Athletic Conference play with an 85-50 rout of Florida A&M Monday night.
Wilson had 15 first-half points as the Wildcats (2-9 overall, 1-0 SWAC) stormed out to a 26-6 first quarter lead than extend to 42-16 at halftime. She was 5-8 from three-point range.
D'Shantae Edwards scored 12 points and recorded eight steals – tying for the eighth single-game best in program history.
Karianna Woods recorded her first career-figure double-figure game with 11 points, and Kayla White added a season-high 10 points.
Kayla Clark posted 12 rebounds.
B-CU returns to action Saturday at Grambling.
NOTES: B-CU has outscored FAMU 167-90 in the last two meetings … Wilson now has five 20-point games this season. Clark has been in double-figure rebounding in both B-CU wins this season … The Wildcats had a season-high 48 rebounds
