The Eastern Florida State College women's basketball team is ranked sixth in the latest NJCAA Division I poll released on Monday.
The Titans are 16-1 on the season, falling for the first time this season on Sunday afternoon at the Lady Jets Holiday Classic in Americus, Georgia.
Shelton State, who picked up the win against EFSC Sunday, are now ranked No. 19 in the poll.
Gulf Coast State College takes over the top spot in the poll at 15-0 this season. South Georgia Tech is No. 2 with Trinity Valley third, Northwest Florida State College fourth and Blinn College fifth.
Overall five teams are ranked in the top 25 from Region 8 as conference season begins.
The Titans were No 2 in the FCSAA Region 8 state poll that was also released on Monday.
Eastern Florida State College will begin the Central Conference season on Jan. 11 at Santa Fe College. The Titans will be back at Titan Field House on Saturday, Jan. 14 against Daytona State College at 2 p.m.
