Eastern Florida State College issued the following announcement on March 1.

Eastern Florida State College invites current and in-coming students to study and live on campus and is preparing to accept applications to live in its student housing facility on the Melbourne Campus for the 2022-2023 academic year.

The online application portal opens at 12:01 a.m. on Friday, March 4. Exact move-in dates are being determined, but will be in time to support the start of Fall Term on August 15.

The cost is $7,000 for one academic year, which includes the major Fall and Spring terms if the Fall term portion is paid by July 20. Summer term housing is optional at a cost of $1,500.

A $150 application fee is required and must be paid within 14 days of submitting the online application form. If housing space is not available, the applicant may request an application fee refund.

In order to be eligible to move in, students must be registered for at least 12 credit hours of courses.

EFSC’s Residence Hall on the Melbourne Campus is a fully air conditioned 96-bed facility divided into furnished suites with four individual bedrooms, two shared bathrooms, a shared full kitchen and a common living room.

Other amenities include Internet access, cable TV, a laundry facility, study and recreational rooms as well as parking. Room availability in on-campus student housing is limited.

Students accepted into on-campus housing must sign a contract by academic year, with residents who commit to two major terms (Fall and Spring) having first preference for housing placement and first preference for the optional summer term. Fall-only or Spring-only contracts are available on a space available basis after full academic year residents have been placed.
