Wildcats Wrap Up Regular Season at Florida State Cross Country Invite

After a week in Montgomery, Ala., amid campus closure due to Hurricane Ian, the Wildcats will head back to the Sunshine State for their final regular season meet of the season, Friday morning at the Florida State Cross Country Invite.

The men are set to start the 8K at 7:40 a.m., with the women’s 5K to follow at 8:15 a.m.

Last weekend, the Wildcats had a strong showing at the Sky Hawk Valley Invitational – The men finished third as a team in the 8K, while the women finished fourth in the 5K.

Four Wildcat men set personal records in the meet – Emmanuel Corral ran aa 26.26, Malcom Brown a  27:29, Isaiaih Johnsona 29:02, an DeQuan King a 29:33. DeMauri Little finished 3rd among B-CU runners with a 27:33

All of the top five Wildcat women set PRs last weekend. Kalyn Gibbs led the 5K with a 19:21, Kaliece Pinckney ran a 19:27, Tiana Small a 19:41, Taisha Benjamin aa 19:46, and Kaiel Kimble a 19:45.

The Wildcats will look to keep the momentum rolling as they cap off the 2022 regular season Friday.
